Company > Settings > Input planned hours for each user assigned to a task This feature is useful if you have multiple users working on a single task, and you want to assign the task hours at the individual user level rather than at the task level. To enable this feature: 1. Click on the "My Account" tab. 2. Click on the "Company" sub-tab. 3. Click on the "Settings" sub-tab. 4. Scroll to the "Projects Options" section and check the "Input planned hours for each user assigned to a task" box. Note: When this feature is enabled, it automatically disables the "Enable task assignment at the project level" and "Use a scrolling picker to assign users to tasks" features. Once this feature is enabled, you can assign task hours to individuals as follows: 1. Click on the "My Account" tab. 2. Click on the "Company" sub-tab. 3. Click on the "Maintenance" sub-tab. 4. Click the "Generate planned hours for each user assigned to a task" button and click "OK". This will populate tasks with users' hours based on each user's allocation and schedule. When you edit a task you will now be able to assign planned hours at the individual user level rather than at the overall task level. Note: The task end date becomes the date when the last user completes the task. The utilization rates of users who are scheduled to finish earlier will be "front-loaded," i.e. hours will be assigned up to 100% utilization until their portion of the task is completed, and then utilization will drop to zero. |
