Account > Generic Resources > [generic resource name] > Schedule Other links: Cost The user-based Schedule link allows you to enter the data you need to track a generic resource's availability for work projects, based on that generic resource's scheduled work days, hours worked per day, and exceptions to the generic resource's typical work schedule (vacations, etc.). To enter or modify a generic resource's work schedule: 1. Click on the Account tab, and then on the "Generic resources" link. 2. Click on the relevant generic resource name, and then on the "Schedule" link. 3. By default, the schedule that first appears in the "Edit generic resource work schedule" dialog is the same as the company work schedule. To tailor this schedule to the generic resource, select the "Use this user-specific work schedule" button, and select the resource's work days and hours (if different from the defaults). 4. In the "Exceptions to work schedule" grid drop-downs, enter the user-based exceptions to the resource's work schedule (these will be in addition to the exceptions you entered on a company-wide basis). Note: You can also note changes to company schedule exceptions; for example, if this resource will be working during a previously-designated company holiday period, you would change the figure in the "Work hours per day" cell to reflect the number of hours the resource will work during that period. 5. You can enter as many exceptions as needed to accurately reflect the resource's anticipated worktime. (Use the "add" drop-down at the bottom of the Exceptions table to add more rows as needed. Also, you can use the "Reason (time type)" drop-downs to associate the resource's exceptions with available Time types.) 6. When you have finished making your entries or changes, click on the "Save" button. |
