"New/Edit user" dialog] contains fields to enter typical individual demographic information, such as name, address, telephone number, and a number of settings and module-specific fields that enable the user to perform certain functions on a company-wide basis. Select a line manager for the user in the demographic form. You will be able to assign approvers for the user's timesheets, expenses, purchases and proposals Note: There is an option to "Save as the default approvers". Check this box if you want new users to default to these approvers. You will also be able to set up the user's regional settings, and most importantly, assign a role to the user. When you create a new user, this is the first dialog you will see. If you need to modify any of this dialog's information for an existing user, you need to click on the user's ID in the Account > Users list, and then click on the "Demographic" link. Demographic module-specific fields: Invoices: "Hourly rate" (Note: This field will appear only if "User" or "User/Project" has been selected in the My Account > Company > Settings) "Get hourly billing rate from" drop-down menu. Resources & Projects: "Department" Projects: "Job Codes" My Acount: "Cost centers" My Account: The Primary filter set dropdown lets you choose the default "filter set" for this user. Timesheets: "Timesheets are approved by" Timesheets: "Schedule requests are approved by" Expenses: "Expense Reports/authorizations are approved by" Purchases: "Purchase requests/POs are approved by" Proposals: "Proposals are approved by" (Note: This field will appear only if you have checked the "Enable proposals submit/approve process" box under "Approval options" in My Account > Company > Settings.) Timesheets, Invoices (Week starts on): You can set the weekday your timesheets and/or Invoices hourly grid will start on in by selecting a weekday from the "Week starts on" drop-down menu. Opportunities: "Territory" My Account: If you have enabled multi-currencies, choose the user's default currency from the dropdown menu. My Account: Set the user's default hourly rate to be used for billing and in projected billing calculations in summary reports. My Account: Check the "Bcc me on all emails" box for this user to be blind copied on all emails. My Account: "Time Settings"; "Regional Settings"; "Dashboard options" Timesheets Options: "Allow the user to un-approve a timesheet"; "Allow the user to un-approve a schedule request" Expenses Options: "Allow the user to un-approve an envelope"; "Allow the user to un-approve an authorization Purchases Options: "Allow the user to un-approve a purchase request"; "Allow the user to un-approve a PO" Display Options: Select the number of entries to display in "client:project," "expense," "product," "user," "vendor," and "approver" drop-downs through the application to prevent these menus from becoming excessively long. (You can use the magnifying glass search feature to find entries not displayed in the list.) Set the number of rows to display per day in the "My Calendar" monthly view. Click the first box to show the "My Calendar" tab in all modules, instead of just in "My Account". Click the second box to show the "Account" tab only in the "My Account" module instead of in all modules. Enter a Paychex employee number, if any. Hierarchies: If there are user hierarchies in the account for which the "Show this hierarchy when editing objects of this type" check box has been enabled, you will be able to assign the user to a node in each of these hierarchies from here. | |||
