Contacts
.
A contact is associated with a client or prospect. A client or prospect can have as many contacts as are needed.
.
If you click on the phone number or e-mail address of a contact in the Prospects or Clients list, you can create an event for that contact - the idea is to make it easy for you to record phone calls and e-mail messages sent to contacts. When you click on an e-mail address, you will be taken to a form where you can fill in the text of the message and add additional addresses to which to send the message. When you click on "Send" the e-mail message will be sent, and an event will automatically be created. The subject of the e-mail will be part of the event's name, and the text of the e-mail will be found in the event's "notes" field. .
Prospects > Create a New Contact
.
*Note: You can also create contacts from the Account tab.
.
1. Click on the "Prospects" tab.
.
2. Click on the "Create..." drop-down menu and select "Contact" from the list.
.
3. Fill out the "New Contact" form.
Make sure you select the appropriate client or prospect. *Note: If you are creating the contact from within a prospect or client record (from the Prospects > "Prospects" or "Clients" link, click on the name of a prospect or client from the list, and select "Contact" from the links at the top of the page), or a deal record, you will not see the "Client:Deal affiliation" drop-down list box on the "New Contact" form. It will already be associated with the client or prospect record that you are currently using.
.
4. Click on the "Save" button.
.
5. The new contact will appear in your Prospects or Clients list.
.
*Note: The "Save and create another Contact" button allows you to quickly create multiple prospects by loading a blank "New Contact" form, instead of returning you to the list view.
.
How would I modify or delete an existing contact?
