To create a client from a prospect: 1. In the Account tab, click on "Clients" and then on the name of the prospect you wish to convert into a client. Or if you are in the Clients tab, click on the "Prospects" link, and then on the name of the prospect. Click on the "Edit" link. 2. In the "Edit Client" dialog box, deselect the "Prospect" check box. 3. Click the "Save" button. Go back to Opportunities FAQ Index How do I create a Proposal? To create a Proposal: 1. In the "Proposals" tab, select "Proposal" from the "Create..." drop-down list box. 2. In the "Create Proposal" form, add a name and a Proposal number and select the client, and if necessary, the project, to whom this Proposal will be presented. 4. Click "Create Proposal." You can now add the items that will make up the Proposal. Click on the "Create..." drop-down list box to create text only items, hourly items, flat price items, other rate items, and expense items. Go back to Opportunities FAQ Index To delete a Proposal: 1. Go to the "Proposals" tab, and select the Proposal you wish to delete by clicking on its Proposal Number. 2. Click on the "Edit" tab. 3. In the "Edit Proposal" form click the "Delete" button. 4. Click "OK" to confirm that you wish to delete the Proposal. Go back to Opportunities FAQ Index Once you are satisfied with your Proposal, you send it as an e-mail message to your client, who can then review it. To send a Proposal for review: 1. Click on the Proposal you wish to send. 2. Click on the "Email Proposal" tab. 3. Review the e-mail address and message that will be sent. Your user e-mail address will be listed by default, as will that of your client, if you have already supplied it. If not, make sure you add the e-mail address of your client. 4. Click "Send." Your client will receive an e-mail message containing a link to the online Proposal. The client can review the Proposal and then click on the "Accept or Refuse" link at the bottom of the page. The client then has the choice of changing the status of the Proposal to "Accepted" or "Refused," and can add any additional comments in the text box provided. You will receive a Response Notification e-mail message that will tell you whether the Proposal has been accepted or refused by your client. Go back to Opportunities FAQ Index To bill clients directly from a Proposal, the Proposal must have items associated with it. Once the Proposal is complete: 1. Go to the "Proposals" tab, and select the Proposal by clicking on its Proposal Number. 2. Click on the "Billable" tab. 3. Check the items for which you want to create timebills. 4. To mark an item up or down by a percentage or a monetary amount, use the text boxes provided. (To create a mark-down amount, enter a negative number.) 5. Click the "Create the timebills" button. 6.
