Using the OpenAir Projects Connector Starting the Projects Connector Make sure that Microsoft® Project is not running before you start the OpenAir Projects Connector. Go to the Start menu and select Programs > OpenAir Projects Connector. If Microsoft® Project is running, you will receive a warning message. Close Microsoft® Project and click the "OK" button. Alternatively, if you are not ready to close Microsoft® Project, click the "Cancel" button on the dialog box. This will close the OpenAir Projects Connector. You can then close Microsoft® Project and start the OpenAir Projects Connector again. Welcome: Import/Export The first step is to select whether you are importing a Microsoft® Project file into your OpenAir account, or exporting an OpenAir project to a Microsoft® Project file. Make your selection using the radio buttons provided in the Welcome dialog box, and click "Next" to continue. Return to the Projects Connector help index Retrieving account information Whether you are importing a Microsoft® Project file or exporting an OpenAir project, the application must first obtain a list of existing users, clients, and projects in your OpenAir account (OpenAir projects are always associated with clients; the other information is necessary to avoid data duplication during transfers.) To obtain the data from OpenAir, you need to enter your OpenAir account Company ID, User ID, and password in the account information dialog. The default server should be "https:// www. openair.com." (If you were provided an account number when downloading the OpenAir Projects Connector, enter it in the Account ID field.) If you enable the option to "Remember Password," you will not need to re-type your password every time you use the OpenAir Projects Connector. Click the "Next" button. You must wait while the application retrieves your account information. When the operation is complete, click "Done." (You can avoid having to click "Done" in the future by enabling the "Close this dialog box when complete" check box.) |
