Projects > [Name of project] > Outline view "Outline view" provides a listed outline of your project’s phases and tasks, including such data as to whom assigned; duration (in days); start and finish dates; billed, planned, and worked hours; percentage complete; and custom fields. See the tips at the bottom of the view for definition of values such as "Planned hours" (total planned hours from tasks within this project), "Worked hours" (collected from Timesheets), "Gap hours" (planned hours minus worked hours), "Billed hours" (collected from timebills in the Invoices module), "Estimated hours" (approved hours from Timesheets plus hours remaining entered by the user),"Remaining hours" (estimated hours minus worked hours). Note: there is an option to calculate remaining hours as estimated minus approved hours instead of worked hours. To enable this option, please contact OpenAir support. To see a project Outline view: 1. Click on the "Projects" tab. 2. Click on the Project name in the list. 3. Click on the "Outline view" link. 4. To configure the view, click the "customize" link at the bottom of the page. *Note: You can see an Outline view only for projects with assigned phases and/or tasks. *Note: If you have tasks in the list that are assigned to generic resources, you can search for users (regular resources) that match up with your generic resources, and re-assign the tasks to them. See Substituting users for generic resources for more information. *Note: If the hours displayed in the worked, billed or approved columns include unassigned hours, an asterisk will appear in the column header, and the hints at the bottom of the screen will detail how many unassigned worked, billed or approved hours there are for this project. |
