.
Modify | Shift bi-weekly time periods by one week
.
To enter time into a timesheet:
.
1. Select the appropriate time type(s) from the drop-down menus. (Note: You can choose to have your clients/projects, services, and tasks appear in drop-down menus on your main timesheet grid by going to My Account > Company > Settings, and checking the appropriate boxes in the
"Timesheet options" section of the "Settings" dialog. The services drop-down will not appear, however, unless you create one or more services; the task drop-down will not appear unless the user has assigned tasks in Projects.)
.
2. If you have enabled the client/project, services, and/or task drop-downs, make your selections.
.
3. Enter (by time type) the number of hours worked in the appropriate date cells. Enter partial hours as decimals, i.e., 5.5 hours, not 5 1/2 hours.
.
4. Click on the blue buttons assigned to the date cells you use, and enter a description of the work activity and/or notes, if desired. You can also correlate the time entry with any relevant drop-downs not appearing on the main timesheet grid.*
.
5. Once you've made your entries in the description form, click on "Ok." You will then return to the timesheet grid.
.
6. Repeat this process until you have accounted for all your work hours for that week, and then click on "Save."
.
Important: Buttons for date cells with entries in the Description, Notes, and/or drop-down fields available in the pop-up dialog will turn green once the timesheet has been saved; however, entries in date cell description windows will not be saved unless you have entered hours in that date cell.
.
Note: Users with the role privilege "Customize forms" can modify the information that appears on all timesheets by clicking the "customize" link at the bottom of any timesheet (Timesheets > [any subtab] > [select a timesheet] > Enter time). Any changes will impact all timesheets for all users in the account. Currently, the only customization options are Message and Message Location. Example usage: create a message, placed at top or bottom of form, with codes to assist in time entry.

To modify time entries in a timesheet:
.
*Note: Approved timesheets cannot be changed.
.
1. Click on the "Timesheets" tab, and then on "Open timesheets" (or "All timesheets").
.
2. Click on the name of the timesheet to which you want to make changes.
.
3. Make changes or additions to the relevant date cells and description fields in the timesheet grid by following the same procedures as in
entering time into a timesheet, above. (Note: You *cannot* make changes to a date cell that is surrounded by a solid blue rectangular field. The blue field indicates that the hours in the date cell have already been charged to a client invoice. See also "To modify a timesheet" for instructions about renaming a timesheet and making other kinds of *global* changes.)
.
4. Click on the "Save" button.
