Account > TimeBill Stages TimeBill Stages are useful if you want to capture time and expense items at different stages. For example "Development" and "Billable" might be used to distinguish between time and expenses invested in generating new business and billable time and expenses. To create a new TimeBill Stage: 1. Click on the Account tab. 2. Click on the "Create..." drop-down menu and select "TimeBill stage." 3. Name the TimeBill stage. 4. Check the "Display TimeBills in a separate tab" box to add a new tab in the Invoices > TimeBills section of the application, where all the TimeBills at this stage will be displayed. These TimeBills will also be displayed in the other tabs as appropriate, such as "all". 5. Check the "Exclude TimeBills from invoicing" box to prevent TimeBills at this stage from being included in invoices. TimeBill stage can later be changed to a stage that permits invoicing if necessary. 6. Indicate where the stage fits relative to other stages. This determines the order in which stages appear in tabs and in drop-down menus. 7. Enter any appropriate notes, and click "Save." To modify or delete a TimeBill stage: The best way to modify individual TimeBill stages is as follows: 1. Click on the Account tab. 2. Click on the "TimeBill stages" link. 3. Click on the name of the TimeBill stage you want to change. 4. As appropriate, make your changes in the "Edit TimeBill stage" dialog and click on "Save", or click "Delete". Note: You cannot delete a TimeBill stage if there are any TimeBills at that stage (the "Delete" button will not show up on the bottom of the "Edit TimeBill stages" dialog). | ||
