Timebills > Timers

Stop Timer | Reactivate Timer | View Timers

A timer can be turned on in an hourly timebill, and it will track
your time until you turn it off.

(Note: The total time and/or billing amount for a timebill
with an active timer shows as 0 until the timer is stopped.)

To activate a Timer:

1. Click on the Timebills tab.

2. Click on the "Create..." drop-down menu, and select "Hourly Timebill."

3. Select a Client and/or Project.

4. Click on the "Timer On" button, and then click
on "Save."

5. The timer is now activated, and will remain activated until
you stop the timer, whether
or not you are logged in to OpenAir.com.
To stop a Timer:

1. Click on the Timebills tab.
2. Click on the "Active Timers" sub-tab.
3. Click "Stop" in the list view to stop the timer.
4. The Timer will disappear from the "Active Timers" list, and
a new timebill will be added to the "Open timebills" list.

Note: You can also stop a timer by clicking on the Description of
a timebill with an active timer, and clicking the "Timer Off" button
in its "Edit hourly timebill" form. You are also linked to any active
timers you have in My Account > Dashboard > My Status.
To reactivate a Timer:

1. Click on the Timebills tab.
2. Click on the "Open timebills" sub-tab.
3. Click on the Description of the timebill whose timer you want
to reactivate.
4. Click on the "Timer On" button.
5. Save the timeBill.
6. The timer is activated, and will remain activated whether
or not you are logged in to OpenAir.com.
To view active Timers:

1. Click on the Timebills tab.
2. Click on the "Active Timers" sub-tab.
3. All timebills with active timers will appear in a list; if there
are none, you will see the message "No active timers found."
