Timebills > Hourly Grid
.
Hourly Grid is a convenient way to keep track of the time you spend working for a particular client and/or on a particular project.
.
To create an Hourly Grid:
.
1. Click on the "Timebills" tab.
.
2. Click on the "Hourly Grid" tab. (The grid will open to the current week; use the "Jump to" drop-down menu or the "prior" or "next" links to go to a different week.) You can select the time span for your Hourly Grid: Weekly (default), bi-weekly*, semi-monthly, and monthly.
.
3. Select a client:project from the drop-down menu.
.
4. Enter your work hours in the appropriate date cell. (Use decimals to indicate partial hours.)
.
5. Enter a description and/or notes in the "Description" and "Notes" field, if desired, by clicking on the blue button adjacent to the date cell. (Note: If you do not enter a description, any service you selected will be the default description in the tabled listing. If you do not enter a description or select a service, the description in the listing will read "No description.") Blue buttons will turn green if there are any descriptions in the associated date cells; however, you can save a description only if you have entered time in that cell.
.
6. Click on the "Save" button.
.
*If you need to adjust your starting week when choosing the bi-weekly option, go to My Account > Company > Settings > Time Settings, and check the "Shift bi-weekly time periods by one week" box.
.
Note: You can set the weekday your Hourly Grid will start on in Account > User > Demographic > Week starts on. Whatever day you choose will be the starting weekday for both your Hourly Grid and for your Timesheets.
.
Note: Once Hourly Grid time has been assigned to an invoice, the date cells in the relevant Hourly Grid will be surrounded by a blue field, and cannot be changed.
