The Strategic Sales Associate is an entry-level position on the OpenAir sales and marketing team ideally suited for someone looking to break into Technology sales and marketing. The Strategic Sales Associate will develop proactive strategies for driving sales and executing against the sales plan. Within 12 months the Strategic Sales Associate will be expected to independently manage a sales territory. Specific responsibilities include:
Respond to and qualify incoming web, email and phone inquiries regarding OpenAir's Professional Services Automation software
Collaborate with sales and marketing colleagues to develop an integrated sales strategy and plan
Generate leads through outbound calling efforts. Develop list of targeted accounts and contacts by working with marketing department
Master the OpenAir application and be able to demonstrate it effectively
Handle all small account sales (fewer than 5 seats), including product demonstration and contract negotiation
Work closely with senior managers of potential client companies to develop solutions that best fit their needs
Qualifications
Strong desire to work in Technology and/or Software sales
Minimum of 1-2 years of business experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Personal initiative and good people management/relationship skills
Self-starter, creative, and resourceful
Desire to work in a small company setting
Bachelor's degree from a four year university or college
