For Immediate Release:
Openair Integrates PSA Application With Netsuite as Part of the
Netflex Applications Program
Leveraging NetSuite's NetFlex Platform, OpenAir Develops Industry
Specific Software Application to Meet the Needs of Professional
Services Organizations
San Mateo, Calif. and BostonJanuary 12, 2006OpenAir, Inc. today
announced that it has become one of the inaugural partners of
NetSuite's NetFlex Applications Program. OpenAir has extended
NetSuite's One System Architecture with new capabilities to meet the
needs of businesses with services groups, including software
companies and consulting firms. The NetFlex Application platform
goes beyond other on-demand development environments by being the
first to allow third party applications to integrate rich
transaction data Ð orders, inventory, invoices and shipments Ð with
their applications. For more information about the NetFlex
Applications Program, please visit www.netsuite.com/NetFlexapps.
Because NetSuite holds the most important data of a company Ð
orders, invoices, website transactions, shipping records, time
tracking, and payroll data Ð the applications that are built on it
using NetFlex are much more powerful and business critical. For
example, with OpenAir, NetSuite users can now enable seamless data
flow between the project accounting of OpenAir and NetSuite,
enabling better views of project profitability and revenue
recognition, further enhancing the core of NetSuite's capabilities.
Service groups, including software companies and consulting firms,
will benefit from NetSuite's order management, inventory management,
shipping management, payroll and financial data, which are the
lifeblood of most companies. Now such data can be accessed for new
Web services-based applications, including OpenAir.
OpenAir's professional service automation (PSA) application helps
project-based organizations increase profits through improving
resource utilization and enabling more efficient project
management. More than 200 companies and 18,000 subscribers use
OpenAir to manage all aspects of their global services business,
including resource staffing, project management and billing.
"We are very pleased to be a NetFlex Applications Program partner,"
said Morris Panner, CEO of OpenAir. "The NetFlex platform provides
a cost effective way to integrate NetSuite with OpenAir's PSA,
making it possible to build deeper integrations than standalone
point-product applications. Together, we will deliver integrated,
on-demand applications in a seamless fashion to our shared
customers, namely professional service firms and software
developers."
"NetSuite helps a company manage its core back-office/ front-office
processes. The NetFlex Applications Program allows third-parties to
leverage this 'system of record' to extend NetSuite into a host of
important applications," said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite. "With
NetSuite's increased focus on the professional services vertical,
OpenAir is a great complement to our already broad application
footprint."
