OpenAir Launches Purchase Orders Module within PSA Solution
Boston, MA (February 6, 2002) OpenAir, provider of the complete
Web-native professional services automation (PSA) solution, today announced
the launch of Purchases, a new purchase order module that automatically
handles businesses’ purchase requests, purchase orders, purchase fulfillment,
and purchase re-billing processes.
Purchases is a critical tool for companies seeking to optimize the purchase
of all the products and services that keep an organization running and to reign
in expenses.
Purchases is completely integrated with the rest of the OpenAir Complete
PSA solution providing a single system for project-based organizations to
manage projects, resources, finances, and knowledge.
"Automating purchase orders is critical for effective expense and
operations management," explained OpenAir CEO Morris Panner. "It simply
doesn’t make sense to have to rely on the accounting system to manage purchase
orders that are directly related to client projects. Our customers can now
create purchase orders from anywhere, route them for approval, send them for
fulfillment, allocate them to projects and clients for financial analysis, and
bill them to clients directly or integrate them into their accounting system."
Today’s launch also introduced several enhancements to the OpenAir project
accounting capability, such as advanced cost and revenue recognition
functionality, and fixed, project-based billing. With today’s enhancements,
OpenAir has taken a step ahead of competitive PSA solutions in analyzing and
managing all project-related finances and controlling costs.
