OpenAir Launches Integration Manager Software for QuickBooks Pro
XML-based connector enables bi-directional data transfer between the leading Professional Services Automation and business accounting software packages

Boston, MA (September 4, 2002) — OpenAir, the leading professional services automation (PSA) software provider, today announced a revolutionary new way for QuickBooks customers to link their OpenAir® systems and their QuickBooks accounting package. With the launch of Integration ManagerTM for QuickBooks Pro®, professional services firms can seamlessly integrate client, project and billing data in QuickBooks with the timesheet, expense report, project and billing data in the OpenAir PSA system. This represents the most comprehensive integration between any PSA system and the popular accounting package.

Using the Integration Manager customers of OpenAir and QuickBooks Pro can export relevant account data from QuickBooks Pro into OpenAir and then import accounts payable and accounts receivable information from OpenAir into QuickBooks Pro. Data exchange takes place through an XML-based Application Programmer’s Interface (API), using Web Services standards.

One of the first companies to deploy the Integration Manager was Kelaroo, Inc, a professional services organization specializing in the design, implementation and management of chemical, biological and discovery informatics systems. Kelaroo President Andrew Reum explained, "We manage all of our project and billing information in OpenAir and our general ledger in QuickBooks Pro.
